Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego invites you to a charity concert “Chwała Ukrainie. Dzisiaj Ukraina jest kobietą”/”Glory to Ukraine. Today Ukraine is a woman”. The concert will take place on Monday, the 25th April 2022, from 7-10 p.m., at Piłsudski Square in Warsaw. Admission for all interested parties will be free.
“We dedicate this concert to women who are here in Poland, separated from their husbands, fathers and sons; who need support, not only financial, but also spiritual and mental - said Beata Daszyńska-Muzyczka, president of BGK”. As much as 96 percent of the war refugees from Ukraine are women and children - this is how the Pesel database run by the information from the Ministry of Interior and Administration.
There will be a fundraiser for Ukraine during the concert. Payments will be possible via BLIK (via the website blik.com/wspieramukraine/) and directly to a specially created account: 91 1130 0007 0080 2394 3520 0002 (transfer title: Support for Ukraine, transfer recipient: National Bank of Ukraine).
The concert will take place on Orthodox Easter Monday. The broadcast will be available, among others, on TV Ukraina24 and on BGK's Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/BankGospodarstwaKrajowego).
During the concert, you will also be able to hear the latest composition by Adam Sztaba, entitled "We have each other". During this performance, over one hundred people will appear on stage in a gesture of solidarity between Polish artists and the Ukrainian nation.
Moreover, Ukrainian artists will sing the song ”Czerwona Kalina”/”Red Viburnum” together. The beginning of the song will be a recording of the lead singer of the band Boombox, which was used by Pink Floyd to create their version of this song.
Ukrainian stars will also perform live during tele connections with Kiev (Ukraina24 studio) and Lviv (NTA studio).
